Service AnimalsThe ADA defines a service animal as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or performtasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to theperson’s disability. We welcome people with service animals on the store premises.

Service AnimalsIn general, a service animal is an animal trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individualwith a disability, such as guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals to an impendingseizure, or pulling a wheelchair and fetching dropped items.
Emotional Support AnimalsAn emotional support animal (also known as a comfort animal) provides reassurance just by being with aperson. However, they do not qualify as “service animals” under the ADA. Therefore, Playa Bowls haschosen not to allow emotional support animals on its premises. We apologize for any inconvenience thismay cause to you or your family.

Animal Handler’s ResponsibilitiesAll service animals need to be immunized against rabies and other diseases common to that type ofanimal.All vaccinations must be current, and animals must be in good health.Service animals must be on a leash, harness, or other type of restraint at all times, unless thecustomer is unable to retain an animal on leash due to a disability.
Playa Bowls reserves the right to remove a service animal from the premises if it:• Is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it.• Poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others.• Is not housebroken.
If a service animal must be removed from the premises, absent other circumstances, the owner may re-enter the premises without the service animal.
