My adoration for all things Biossance is no secret. I’ve been using its products for years, well before The Mom Edit’s now long-running partnership with the brand was established (and when it was, Gwen can confirm, I was giddy). I’ve tried almost everything in its squalane-based lineup of skincare gems, and I can vouch for all of them.

In short: I’ve yet to meet a Biossance product that didn’t perform as advertised.
Of course, it comes as no surprise, then, that Biossance’s newest release, the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer, is just as gloriously efficacious.
When I first heard rumor that this Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer was forthcoming, I was, let’s say, excited. Like, “First Day Of School And You’re Rocking Fresh Duds And A Fresh Backpack” pumped.
I’ve been using the Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream for more than a year now, and coupled with the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, it enlivened my dry, patchy skin during pregnancy and has promoted the healthiest, most supple skin I’ve had in decades. So, I had high hopes that a cream that sounds, at first blush, like a hybrid of my two favorite products would be a freaking dream.
And lemme tell you: This Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer is every bit as good as I’d hoped.

Per the label, the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer touts a whole heap of benefits. Specifically:
“Vitamin C moisturizer infuses skin with antioxidants to brighten the complexion and visibly smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Damascus rose and fermented lemon peel promote radiance and help visibly even skin tone.”
Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer
The full product description, as provided by Biossance, delves a little further into each ingredient:
- VITAMIN C: A powerful antioxidant that defends skin from environmental aggressors and promotes collagen production
- FERMENTED LEMON PEEL: A natural alternative to hydroquinone that provides antioxidant support, brightens and evens skin tone
- SQUALANE: Instantly hydrates and locks in moisture while helping other ingredients penetrate more deeply and work more effectively

OK, so we’re brightening. We’re smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. We’re moisturizing (duh). All good things.
But I’m going to be really honest here about where my head was going into trialing this product.
Fact is, I’m already pretty happy with the current state of my skin, and that’s mostly thanks to Biossance. (More on my full routine below.) So I wasn’t expecting a whole lot of improvement. I mean, I’m closing in on 40, and my skincare regimen has been pretty dialed for a while now. Despite my high hopes, I was skeptical. Not of the product, to be clear. But that my skin might be kinda…as good as it’s gonna get.
Four days into using this pretty pink jar of miracle moisturizer, and I was hooked.

My skin was already noticeably brighter and more radiant, but moreover: When I went to wash my face on the morning of Day 4, I realized my face was impossibly soft and smooth. Like, baby’s-butt smooth (and I need not remind you: I have recently been reacquainted with just such a thing).
A week in, and I’m consciously avoiding makeup completely for fear of ruining the effect of my lit-from-within skin. (If you know me, you know I’m, at most, a blush and bronzer kinda gal — but still.)
I mean, friends. I’m running out of words, and you’re running out of time reading this, but the short story? This moisturizer is exceptionally good.
Well done, Biossance. The science is (unsurprisingly) dialed in on this one. Yet again. And an extra 20% off with code: THEMOMEDIT20 doesn’t hurt, either.

The Complete A.M. + P.M. Skincare Routines Of A Self-Proclaimed Beauty Skeptic
Biossance currently makes up almost my entire skincare routine. I’m not necessarily a beauty junkie, but I am a beauty skeptic, and I’d previously scoffed a bit at the idea of investing in skincare that doesn’t really make that much of a difference.

I’d used enough fancy creams and toners and serums to know that, while some of them look gorgeous on the bathroom counter or even feel divine in the jar, not all of them actually do much more than make your face smell like a very expensive spa.
At the risk of sounding very much like the host of a late-night infomercial, Biossance is the clear exception.
Every product that I’ve adopted into my morning and evening routines works exactly as advertised, keeping my skin plump, dewy and notably clear. DM-worthy, even. Listen, I don’t want to be that gal who’s like, “Well, gosh, people are always asking me to spill the tea on my skincare…” but, um, people aren’t not asking me to spill the tea on my skincare.
And I can take very little credit. I slap on the good stuff — which will now and forever include **this Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer** — and let it do all the work for me.
My Biossance Morning Skincare Regimen

I’ve been using this regimen for the past 18 months, and my adult skin has never looked better. Well, until I added the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Moisturizer. If I had to pare this down, I’d swear by the cleanser, eye cream, moisturizer and sunscreen.
My Biossance Evening Skincare Regimen
My night regimen looks suspiciously similar to my morning regimen with a couple of changes: If I’m showering in the evening and removing makeup, I love using the Biossance Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil. This was the first Biossance product I ever used, and I haven’t looked back since.
And I’m currently attempting a cycle with my active serums: I use the Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum on Day 1; the Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum on Day 2; and just a rich moisturizer (the Squalane + Omega Repair Cream) on Days 3 and 4.
I wouldn’t steer you wrong on this stuff, gang.xo!Em
