Jamba Juice Strawberry Wild
The Strawberry Wild and Caribbean Passion are the two smoothies I’m typically debating between at Jamba Juice — which one to get?!

Luckily, I’ve created my own “copycat” recipes so I can switch off frequently between the two, right from the comfort of my own home. And now you can too with this easy recipe!
Not to mention, it’s also much more economical — the ingredients to make this smoothie will last for many smoothie creations! Plus, all the ingredients together are *almost* cheaper than buying one smoothie from the shop.
Ingredients
- Apple juice. We love the subtle sweetness of apple juice in this smoothie, but Jamba Juice typically uses juices with a blend of flavors (their particular recipe calls for an apple-pear-strawberry juice blend). If you’d like a fruitier flavor, try a juice with a few different fruit profiles.
- Frozen vanilla yogurt. You’ll find frozen yogurt right by ice cream in the grocery store. If you can’t find it, use regular vanilla ice cream in a pinch. If you’d like to make this Jamba Juice Strawberry Wild dairy free, use a strawberry sorbet instead!
- Frozen strawberries and frozen banana. We want to use frozen (not fresh) fruit to ensure this smoothie is ultra thick as well as very cold.
- Ice. Ice helps cool down the drink and contributes to the desired thick consistency.
Jamba Juice Strawberry Wild Tips
- While it might seem silly to actually measure out the ingredients for this smoothie (instead of just eye-balling and throwing everything in), I do recommend measuring ingredients the first few times you make this or until you have a feel for the quantities. Throwing random quantities of ingredients in a blender can often end up giving you WAY too much smoothie or the beverage can end up tasting off.
- When measuring the frozen fruit, pack it into a measuring cup to get an accurate measurement.
- To get a thick smoothie consistency, use a very high-powered blender. Be patient as you blend, since the majority of the ingredients are frozen. Stir in between blending bursts if needed.
- Add liquids into the blender first with frozen fruit and ice on top. This helps avoid blender cavitation.
Storage/Leftovers
I recommend drinking this Jamba Juice Strawberry Wild all in one sitting, preferably right after making it. This smoothie separates and begins to taste off very soon after making.
If you’re uncertain it will all get finished in one sitting, I recommend halving the recipe — this drink is very forgiving as quantities are cut down.
