ice cream that looks like fried chicken

TikTok is a haven for those wanting to try the latest wacky food trends. Sometimes, the app boosts wonderful local businesses. Other times, it brings out the dark side of food culture with horrible creations like mustard and cottage cheese.

If you’re active on the foodie side of TikTok, you may already be familiar with the latest sensation: ice cream bars made to resemble fried chicken. Videos of users trying the frozen treat have garnered millions of views, leaving ice cream lovers all over the country wanting at taste for themselves.

Here’s everything you need to know about Not Fried Chicken ice cream, and how to get it.

What does the Not Fried Chicken ice cream taste like?

As the name suggests, the treat is not fried chicken. But what is it exactly?

The ice cream bars are made by Little Raft Treats, a South Carolina-based food truck run by six-time James Beard Award semifinalist Cynthia Wong. Waffle ice cream is combined with a chocolate-covered cookie “bone” and a coating of white chocolate and crushed corn flakes so they resembled fried chicken drumsticks.

And it’s not the only ice cream treat resembling other foods that they sell. They also make a Peach Bombe sorbet made to look like fresh peaches.

Where to get Not Fried Chicken ice cream

Little Raft Treats offers free shipping to anywhere in the U.S. through GoldBelly. A package is $109.95 and includes 9 “Not Fried Chicken” ice cream bars and one “Not Fried Chicken” bucket.

The ice cream is packed with dry ice to keep cold during shipping.

Is Not Fried Chicken ice cream available at Walmart?

Despite the TikTok videos to the contrary, the treats are not available at Walmart stores.

Little Raft Treats sells Not Fried Chicken ice cream bars in single packs for $4.99 at independent retailers, some Whole Food Markets, Central Markets, Fresh Direct, Foxtrot Market or Savi Provisions in select states. However, Arizona is not one of the states on their distribution list.

So, at this point, the only way to try them in Arizona is to pay nearly double the price per bar and get them shipped.
